WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID?

{Income Tax}
 
Please remind your parents that if they are married and file their income tax separately, they CANNOT both file as "Head of Household" or "Single."  The United States Department of Education will not allow colleges and universities to award financial aid to students whose parents commit this crime.
 
If you plan to begin college in the SPRING (January) or SUMMER (June/July) of 2010, you need the following: 
If you plan to begin college in the FALL (August) of 2010, you need the following: 
 
  • to apply AS SOON AS POSSIBLE after the 2009-2010 school year begins
  • to apply AS SOON AS POSSIBLE after January 1, 2010
  • your parents' income tax information (1040 and W-2) for 2008*
* If your parents didn't file income tax and were paid in cash, then you need to come by Room 123 for a notarized statement of income for 2008
  • your parents' income tax information (1040 and W-2) for 2009*

  • your income tax inforamtion (1040 and W-2) for 2008 (if you worked and filed taxes)

  • your driver's license number (if you have one)

  • any other income information from 2008 (such as child support, TANF, Disability)
