SCHOOL TRUSTEE ELECTION - NOVEMBER 3, 2026

Current state law requires a candidate for trustee of an independent school district to be a qualified voter by the time required by Election Code Section 141.001. An application for place on the ballot (PDF) must be filed with the Superintendent's designee at the ECISD Administration Building located at 411 N. 8th Street, Edinburg, Tx.

TERMS AND ELECTION SCHEDULE:

Board members shall be elected for four-year terms, with elections conducted biennially, as follows:
Places 1, 2, 3 and 5: The election for places 1, 2, 3 and 5 shall be held in November 2026, 2030, and in four-year intervals thereafter.
Places 4, 6, and 7: The election for places 4, 6, and 7 shall be held in November 2024, 2028, and in four-year intervals thereafter.
