About the Exams
Each of the college readiness assessments has its own requirements. Each test is designed to measure specific content and skills acquired- a successful score could assist students in determining their readiness for their chosen college and/or career pathway.

AP Exams are standardized exams designed to measure how well a student masters the content and skills of a specific AP Course. Most AP courses have an end-of-year paper-and-pencil exam, but a few courses have different ways to assess what student has learned-for example, AP Art and Design students submit a portfolio of work for scoring.

ACT Aspire is the first digital, longitudinal assessment system that connects student performance with readiness benchmarks from the elementary grades through early high school.

PreACT is a multiple-choice assessment that provides 10th graders with short practice for the ACT test. Reporting offers a full view of student college and career readiness.

The TSI Assessment (TSIA) is part of the Texas Success Initiative program designed to help your college or university determine if you are ready for college-level course work in the general areas of reading, writing, and mathematics.

The redesigned SAT Suite of Assessments is an integrated system made up of these tests: SAT, PSAT/NMSQT and PSAT 10, and PSAT 8/9. The test measure the same skills and knowledge in ways that make sense for different grade levels, so it's easier for students, parents, and educators to monitor student progress.
