The SHAC Council welcomes members to join, parents, community members, churches, businesses, media, and government help ensure a diverse representation to help the council meet its goals and help us focus on areas of importance for our youth to have better outcomes as they become the community members and leaders for the next generations to come.
Senate Bill 19 has mandated that all school districts in the state of Texas have a School Health Advisory Council. The council is to be made up of a majority of parents of children of the district.
