Training Division

The Edinburg CISD Police Department Training Division consists of several certified Police Officers who have obtained the certification of Police Instructor and/or Advanced Police Instructor from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).

 

Our instructors provide valuable courses to Edinburg CISD Police Officers, as well as Police officers from surrounding partner Law Enforcement agencies. Some of the courses taught by our Training Division instructors are, but are not limited to:

 

- TCOLE Mandated training courses

- TCOLE certificate courses

- School Based Law Enforcement Officer Training Course

- Stop the Bleed / Bleeding Control Training Course

- CPR/AED Training Course

- Firearms training / Weapon Familiarization courses

- Defensive Tactics Courses

- Less than Lethal Weapons Courses

- Active Threat / Active Shooter courses (including ALERRT courses)

- Crossing Guard Training

- ALERRT Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) Courses

- Department specific policy and procedure trainings.

 

The Edinburg CISD Police Department, through its Training Division, strives to ensure that all Edinburg CISD Police Officers have the knowledge and training they need to effectively carry out their duties to serve and protect the students and staff of each of our district campuses.
