Senior Corporal Valerie Martinez Earns Elite School Safety Certification

Big congratulations to Senior Corporal Valerie Martinez from the Edinburg C.I.S.D. Police Department! She recently graduated from the elite School-Based Law Enforcement (SBLE) Master Training Class from the Texas School Safety Center in San Marcos, Texas.

Officer Martinez completed 128 hours of advanced, specialized training to better serve and protect the students and staff at Edinburg High School.

Youth mental health & adolescent brain development

Advanced emergency preparedness & crisis response; restorative justice & student mentorship strategies; strategic planning & school safety leadership.
