Grant Development
Grant Opportunities
Mission:
It is the Mission of the Grants Development Office to take part in researching, planning and developing grant proposals for attaining new resources from state, federal and other funds; which will assist in achieving the district mission and vision to Accomplish Educational Excellence Through Creativity and Innovation by Empowering Our Students to be 21st Century Leaders.
The Grant Development Office is a division of the Technology Services Department under the direction of Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Eduardo J. Moreno. The primary function of the Grant Development Specialist is to work with funding agencies that support and enhance Edinburg CISD's technology and instruction programs. The Office offers assistance to ECISD staff who seeks to fund for their individual programs, classroom, or school. All grant fund requests in excess of $5,000 require an approval form and authorization by the Grant Implementation Team. For all contracts, agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, etc. only the Superintendent is authorized to sign and agree to the terms and conditions stipulated in the legal document.
Within this site, the Grant Development Department keeps ECISD informed of funding opportunities available for site-based activities. We encourage ECISD staff to review these opportunities and consider applying. All applicants are responsible for ensuring the funder’s program requirements align with campus and district practices and policies. For fund requests in excess of $1,000, staff must complete and principal must approve the “Mini-grant Request to Apply." A link to the form is provided under Grants, Contests, and Awards.
When applying, please keep mindful of the due dates and turnaround time to approve and submit an application. Also, be cautious about any potential liability or commitment required of the district and its staff, students, or parents. Contact the office for help in funding your innovative project idea(s).
