About ECISD
The Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District is located in the Educational Center of the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. Edinburg is a three-time "All-America City, " and is also home to the University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley and to the Region One Education Service Center.
Student membership for the Edinburg CISD is over 34,500 students. New students and families choose to enroll in the District annually. The District offers a well balanced elementary curriculum with small classes which concentrate on strong oral and written language programs. The district provides a half-day Pre-K program as well as open enrollment for any students living in school districts in the surrounding areas.
All of our schools offer strong academic programs with diversified course offerings in fine arts, athletics, elective subjects and career and technical education.
