ECISD Apple ID Account Change

Apple has changed the way organization Apple IDs are created and managed.  This may require action on your part if you are ACTIVELY USING an EXISTING ECISD Apple ID that was created with an ECISD email account.
 
If you have an active Apple ID account created with your ECISD email and YOU ARE ACTIVELY using it on an ECISD iPad, then you will need to change the ECISD email address in your ECISD Apple ID to a personal email address.  Apple is providing all users 60 days to change their ECISD email address to a personal email address. 
 
Here the Apple ID website where you can login to your existing ECISD Apple ID and change the email address to a personal account: https://appleid.apple.com/  
 
Step 1: Click on Sign In. If you forgot your password, click on Forgot Password and follow the instructions.
Step 2: Login to your account. 
Step 3: Click on the Apple ID box. (To edit Apple ID email)
Step 4: Type in the new (personal) email address.

Readiness for NEW Edinburg CISD Apple ID Account Setup and Management for Apple iPads:

Apple has changed the way organization Apple IDs are created and managed.  This may require action on your part if you are ACTIVELY USING an EXISTING ECISD Apple ID that was created with an ECISD email account.

Edinburg CISD teachers and staff will read the steps below to determine your next steps: 

  1. If you DO NOT HAVE an existing ECISD Apple ID account that was created with your ECISD email (@ecisd.us), then NO ACTION is required on your part.  
  2. If you DO NOT REMEMBER if you have an existing ECISD Apple ID account that was created with your ECISD email (@ecisd.us), then NO ACTION is required on your part.  If you receive an email from Apple and device notifications from Apple saying that your district email has been reclaimed. Ignore the email from Apple. You do not have to do anything with this email from Apple.
  3. If you DO HAVE an ECISD Apple ID account that was created with your ECISD email (@ecisd.us), but you DO NOT USE IT on an ECISD iPad daily or weekly, then NO ACTION is required on your part. You will receive an email from Apple saying that your district email has been reclaimed. Ignore the email from Apple. You do not have to do anything with this email from Apple.
  4. If you DO have an active Apple ID account created with your ECISD email and YOU ARE ACTIVELY using it on an ECISD iPad, then ACTION is required on your part.  You will need to change the ECISD email address in your ECISD Apple ID to a personal email address.  Here is how to do that:  You will receive an email from Apple stating that your district email has been reclaimed. It will direct you to login and choose a new email address to continue accessing your ECISD Apple ID data and apps purchased. Apple is providing all users 60 days to change their ECISD email address to a personal email address.
