SCHOOL TRUSTEE ELECTION - NOVEMBER 3, 2020

Current state law requires a candidate for trustee of an independent school district to be a qualified voter by the time required by Election Code Section 141.001. An application for place on the ballot (PDF) must be filed with the Superintendents designee at the ECISD Administration Building located at 411 N. 8th Street, Edinburg, Tx. In a general election held by a school district, an application for a place on the general election ballot (PDF) must be filed with the Superintendents designee.

TERMS AND ELECTION SCHEDULE:

Board members shall be elected for four-year terms, with elections conducted biennially, as follows:
Places 1, 2, 3 and 5: The election for places 1, 2, 3 and 5 shall be held in November 2022, 2026, 2030, and in four-year intervals thereafter.
Places 4, 6, and 7: The election for places 4, 6, and 7 shall be held in November 2020, 2024, 2028, and in four-year intervals thereafter.
