Bond Election

In May 2008, Edinburg voters overwhelmingly approved a $112 million school bond issue to build new schools, make additions and renovations. The board of Trustees, district administration, and the citizen Bond Oversight Committee promised transparency and accountability to the community as the construction process moved forward. This webpage is intended to provide a progress report to the community.

As promised, this proposition converted 1998 bonds to 2008 voter authorized bonds to save the taxpayer over $2 million and lowered the tax rate and interest rate
