This website contains processes and procedures for Skyward user access and management. Contact your Campus Administration, District Department Head, or the ECISD Data Programming Department for information and assistance. The following policies are used as a reference in the Edinburg CISD data procedures, management, and access standards. Contact the Edinburg CISD Data Programming Department x2325 or PEIMS Department x2300 for clarification as needed.

Skyward User Access:
The security of Edinburg CISD data is important. Contact the Coordinator for Data Management and Programming for information. Approval from the Campus Administration and/or District Department will be required. The following staff profile information will be required when requesting access:

Skyward Security Access Levels:
The District utilizes 2 levels of user access for the Skyward Student Data Management System. Read Only Access provides users with the capability to view data, but NOT add, edit, or make changes to data. Write Access provides users with the capability to add, edit, and change data. Be aware of the type of access required to complete duties and activities associated with your district or campus position/role in the Skyward Data Management System.
Skyward Security Groups:
Read or Write Access to information in Skyward is organized by Skyward Security Groups. Skyward Security Groups provide access to users based on Position/Role type. Indicate your position and role(s) on the Skyward Security Access Request - SSAR Form to identify the correct Skyward Security Group.

H. New Button Process:
A. Edinburg CISD Attendance Accountability Handbook:
Attendance accountability is important for all campus staff as it impacts funding and accountability for the District. Secondary School Attendance Clerks, Elementary School Secretaries, and Campus Administration may contact the PEIMS/Attendance Department x2300 or Data Management and Programming Department x2325 for clarification on any attendance reporting procedure.
Skyward Attendance Day 1 Procedures:
The Skyward Attendance Reporting System will be configured with the 'No Show' button option for attendance reporting on School Day 1 so that teachers may take attendance throughout the school day and indicate which students are in attendance on School Day 1. Attendance Clerks will run School Day 1 Summary Attendance Reports and 'No Show' students who are not in attendance on School Day 1. See instructions below on Number 2. The 'No Show' attendance reporting button will be removed from teachers view at the end of School Day 1. Regular attendance reporting (absent, tardy, etc.) will begin on School Day 2.
B. Week 1 School Day 1 Procedures for 'No Show' Attendance Reporting:
All Secondary School Attendance Clerks and Elementary School Secretaries will complete the Skyward Attendance 'No Show' Reporting - First Day of School Attendance Procedures - 5 Steps process required to 'Inactivate' those students not in attendance on the first day of school.
Note: All students 'Rolled Over' from the previous school year will be coded as 'Active' in the Skyward Student Data Management System. The first day of school procedures will 'Inactivate' those students not in attendance on School Day 1.
C. Week 1 - School Day 4 Attendance Verification Process:
Campus Attendance Staff will run the 2nd Period Attendance Verification Report WS/SR/TX/RE/AT/AV and provide each teacher with a hard copy of the 2nd period attendance roster for review and verification. Teachers will be instructed to add the names of any students physically in attendance to the 2nd Period Attendance Verification Roster. These rosters will be collected by the Campus Attendance Staff and used to verify and reconcile enrollment. This process will be completed each Thursday for the first 3 weeks of school.

D. Week 1 Campus Attendance Audit Report Submission:
A copy of the First Day of School Summary Report with staff notes utilized to 'No Show' students AND the 4th Day 2nd Period Attendance Verification Reports for all teachers will be maintained by the Campus Attendance Office and submitted to the ECISD Pupil Accounting Office for review and verification by the following Monday.
5. Week 2 - School Day 9 Attendance Verification Process:
Campus Attendance Staff will run the 2nd Period Attendance Verification Report WS/SR/TX/RE/AT/AV and provide each teacher with a hard copy of the 2nd period attendance roster for review and verification. H. Attendance Reporting for Special Events:
Campus Attendance Staff will be required to manage attendance for special events (field trips, testing, etc.) throughout the school year. Use the instructions to enter attendance for these types of events. Contact the PEIMS/Pupil Accounting Department for information or questions.
