Police Canine Division
The Edinburg CISD Police Department Canine Division (K-9) consists of four certified Police K9 Officers and their canine partners who patrol and respond to all Edinburg CISD campuses. Our K-9 Officers work diligently with campus school resource officers and all Edinburg CISD staff to keep ECISD DRUG FREE.
Our Canine Officers are trained in narcotics and weapons detection to also assist our officers in ensuring our students safety by keeping our campuses weapons free.
Our K-9 Police Officers also participate in drug prevention initiatives including presentations that are held at our Edinburg CISD Campuses. These presentations provide valuable information for our students and give them the tools to JUST SAY NO! to drug use.
