School Resource Officers

The Edinburg CISD School Resource Officer Division is our largest division with the Edinburg CISD Police Department.
 
This Division is made up of:
 
4 Sworn Texas Peace Officers per High School (16 total)
1 Sworn Texas Peace Officer assigned to truancy prevention per quadrant (4 total)
2 Sworn Texas Peace Officers per Middle School (12 total)
1 Sworn Texas Peace Officer in each Elementary School (31 total)
4 Sworn Texas Peace Officers in Alternative Campuses 
 
The primary goal of each Edinburg CISD Police School Resource Officer (SRO) is to ensure the safety of all students, staff and visitors in each of our Edinburg CISD Campuses. Our SROs also work with our campus administration to conduct presentations and training to students such as Stop the Bleed and drug prevention presentations. In the event of an emergency, our SROs are first responders and their immediate response ensures that any and all situations are attended to in a timely manner to ensure the continued safety of our ECISD community.
